Parking and Transit Accessibility Guidelines
ADA Parking for Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students
Faculty and staff with a valid University virtual parking permit and ADA placard or wheelchair symbol license plate can conveniently park in marked ADA spaces. These spaces are available in all numbered lots and parking garages and in proximity to campus buildings without a proximal TigerTransit stop. If ADA spaces are unavailable, please park in any legal parking space.
- Placards must be appropriately displayed on the rearview mirror and easily visible or your vehicle will be cited.
- Please register your state-issued ADA placard or wheelchair symbol license plate by emailing a scanned copy or photograph to the Service Point.
- Curb-to-curb accommodations are available by advance request with our TigerAccess service.
ADA Parking for Visitors
On weekdays before 4 pm, visitors with ADA placards or wheelchair symbol license plates may park in ADA spaces in Stadium Drive Garage. Stadium Drive Garage is serviced by wheelchair-accessible TigerTransit shuttles. Curb-to-curb accommodations are available by advance request with our TigerAccess service.
For additional or special accommodations, please contact the Service Point.
ADA Parking for Events, Athletics Rentals, and Department Guests
Please contact your event coordinator, host department, or event webpage for ADA parking accommodations.
Parking for Persons with a Temporary Disability
Faculty and staff with a temporary medical condition, in cases where TigerTransit does not provide proximal or frequent service to their office or class destination, must present appropriate documentation to University Health Services to be approved for a temporary medical permit for proximal parking.
For extended (more than six weeks) parking changes or handicapped parking requests, contact your state of residence's Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) or Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regarding a temporary ADA placard. The Service Point will contact you when your virtual permit has been processed.
